High Speed Centrifuges /High Speed Oil purifiers are commonly used to separate out water from oil. Water damages engines, causes corrosion and when unchecked raises doubts as to the quality or performance of a separation system. Spot sampling is unreliable simply because it never represents the water content in the volume of oil and managers may have doubts as to whether or not the samples have been faithfully taken since there may be no way to ascertain whether they are correct.
The mini EASZ-1 water in oil monitor can be retrofitted to existing Alfa Laval or Mitsubishi centrifuges or other purifiers without too much trouble. It is a two wire inline monitor that will accurately report water content in lubrication or fuel oils. The most common installations are on board ships and in power plants where they are an added safety bonus to operators i.e. to put their mind at ease regarding the validity of oil samples which never reflect the current contamination level of water in the oil.
Operators following a quality program can rest assured that reporting of water contamination in oil lines are continually monitored every second of the day. Our existing clients appreciate the enhancement of the quality and safety standards as a result of using the EASZ-1.
The purifier alarm control unit or the DACS system has been designed to prevent spurious alarms during the desludge cycle of an oil centrifuge. The design is simple and easily maintained since the parts used in its construction are readily available in the market.
