EESIFLO has recently made
a major acquisition of a Swedish research and development
company that had previously involved itself since the early
90's in the study and production of highly stable dielectric
nased based technologies to measure both minute and larger
contents of water in oil. Measurement of dielectric strength
can also be used as an indication of oil quality.
The EASZ-1 has the ability to accurately measure in low
range ppm values and higher percentages with a response time
of one second. The problems that have faced previous attempts
of dielectric devices stemmed from the electronics drifting
and poorly designed circuit boards that did not use newer
digital techniques. Almost ten years research and development
has produced a loop powered mini sensor that that acts as
a capacitor plate with increased dielectric measurement capabilites.
The sensor can also be used on any liquids which are not conductors.
Each water in oil transmitter is electronically calibrated
and tested to perform within certain tolerances. Alot of care
is taken during assembly and testing to ensure that each EASZ-1
sensor that leaves production will work to within its specifications.
Water contamination of hydraulic and lubricating oils can
cause serious damage to bearings and other lubricated components
- often without the equipment user being aware that damage
is occurring.
EESIFLO's EASZ-1 water in oil monitor provides early or immediate
warning of any increase in water content or a change in dielectric
so that corrective action can be taken. RS-485 is optional
and the EESIFLO development team are working on a HART protocol
addition.
